Mary McCormack was an American actress, best known for her roles as the protagonist in TV series such as "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. Mary McCormack is known for her performances in the movies 'Private Parts as well as 'Deep Insanity,' 'True Crime,' and 1408. McCormack was the daughter of the owner of an ice cream shop and a clinical psychologist. The McCormack family does not have any connection to entertainment. Her career began at the age of 12 when she appeared in the stage version of 'Amahl and the Night Visitors', a Christmas opera. In her early twenties the stage journey began by performing in "Amahl, and the Night Visitor", a holiday opera. She continued performing in the theatre as well as landing roles that were on small screens as well as the big screen. McCormack, today recognized as one Hollywood's most versatile performers. McCormack has three daughters along and a husband who is a producer/director Michael Morris.
