Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of rap songs that dealt with issues of sexual and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood when she dropped a series of raps. Nora Lum began her musical career as a musician on the trumpet. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Alongside classical music and jazz, Nora Lum started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. In school, she concentrated on journalism and woman's studies. She also studied Mandarin for a while in Beijing. Not until after graduation did her focus shift to music. After gaining viral fame on the Internet and her own song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually made its way onto the album she released, Yellow Ranger. Some other hits that went viral included queef track and the eye-catching NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The third track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide that was published in the year 2015, and was another idea. With musician and author on her resume she began looking for acting in a third project. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2, Storks as well as Bad Rap.
